Assembly Now Hosts 5,000 Web Discussions!

Burlington, Mass. - Assembly, the web discussion hosting service by Nerdworld, is now the online discussion spot for over 5,000 Internet users. Users from all walks of life are using Assembly to communicate to friends, families and business associates. Assembly Web Discussions can be added to an existing website or stand alone as an online gathering place.

Internet users from the world over are putting Assembly to work in fascinating ways. A step beyond the free web page, web discussions provide a great way for a group to communicate about several topics at once. Users can refer to messages over weeks or months, often facilitating more constructive, meaningful discussions. "We wanted to create an easy way to keep a group of friends in touch," said Dave Stein, president of Nerd World Media, "Web discussions, while similar to chat, accommodate people who access the system at different times. A web discussion is ideal for a large group of people."

Launched in March of 1995, Assembly is just a year and half old and already the home of over 5,000 web discussions. Internet users are invited to browse the Assembly Web Discussions site and contribute to an ongoing discussion. A user can also create his own web discussion in a matter of minutes. While Geocities, Tripod and Angelfire provide free web pages marketed as communities, interaction between users is often limited. The Assembly community facilitates interaction by making it fast and easy to respond to a posted opinion and carry on a discussion.
