Nerdworld offers free personalized bulletin boards to Internet users

Burlington, Mass. - Assembly Web Discussions, Nerdworld’s free personalized bulletin boards service, makes it fast and easy for Internet users to create customized bulletin boards or post messages on over a thousand existing message boards. Since Assembly is hosted for free at Nerd World, no additional software or hardware is required. An Assembly can be simply a place for friends to gather on the Internet, or an added feature to an existing website. Discussions on Assembly bulletin boards have ranged from very serious to absolutely absurd.

A personalized bulletin board can be created in less than three minutes, and anyone on the Internet is welcome to post messages on Assembly bulletin boards. Topic trees display messages in an easy-to-read format, and messages can be sorted by author, date or subject as well. Registered users can edit their posts and create Assemblies of their own. An Assembly can add an element instant interactivity to a web site.

With a Custom Assembly, an administrator can incorporate a message board seamlessly into an existing web site by substituting the Assembly background, title graphic, and navigation buttons with his own. A Custom Assembly administrator may also opt to moderate his Assembly in order to screen posts.

Spreading the word about a particular Assembly is easy. With the new option to invite friends, any Assembly user can send email to friends inviting them to participate in a specific discussion. An administrator may also opt to have his board included in the Assembly directory as well as the Nerdworld search engine. The basic Assembly is free and allows up to 100 messages of 2,048 characters each. A Custom Assembly, which allows up to 1,000 messages of up 10k each and includes more features, costs $195 per year.
