President William Jefferson Clinton
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW
Washington, District of Columbia 20500
Dear Mr. President:
Speaking on behalf of NerdWorld.com's support team and hundreds of
thousands of visitors, I would like to congratulate you as you near the
conclusion of your two terms as President of The United States. We think
you did a great job as the country's Chief Executive Officer.
But a lot of things have changed in eight years and as you know, the future
is on the Internet. This brings me to the point of my letter: NerdWorld
would like to offer you a chance to ease back into both post-White House
life and the New Economy.
By way of background, Nerdworld.com was created in 1995 as a search engine
and directory service. As one of the pioneers of the Internet, and more
recently as a totally re-launched Web site, NerdWorld offers cool, off-beat
lifestyle and work-related content, entertainment and services.
Immediately after your term expires, we would like to offer you the
position of President of Nerdworld.com for one day. In this position, we would
expect you to work in our offices in Burlington, Massachusetts for one
eight hour day, preside over meetings, take coffee breaks, discuss strategy
and tactics and generally, be an Internet-kinda-guy. You will be exposed to
the technologies and economics behind the Internet, the challenges of
running a small Internet company, and experience the joy of working with
and for Nerds. You will be duly compensated for your work. Drinks,
including expresso drinks, are free.
Whaddya think? Way cool. Right?
We look forward to hearing from you about this offer.
Very truly yours,
Russell J Stein
President
P.S. Please note that this offer and responses to the offer will be posted
to the public on our Web site.
