What is the origin of POGS? How did they get started as a game and collectors item?
I assume you are not referring to a Polar Orbiting Geomagnetic Satellite. The KSU collegiate ran a good article in 1995 about the history of POGs. According to the article, POGs originated in Hawaii around World War II. They were "originally milk caps to advertise a new drink ... called Passion Orange Guava juice." Now everyone has jumped on the bandwagon for POGs. There are make your own POGs sites on the web. They are used in middle eastern dance costumes. There are even Mortal Kombat POGS. Maybe Nerdworld should create our own line of collectible POGs.
I was playing there three eyed bingo and won the game. When I hit Bingo it said that I was not a winner. I had my husband double check and I was correct. I saved the screen and also emailed him the numbers. I contacted Gamesville and there has been no reply so far. What can I do? The prize was over 3000.00. Money that was needed badly.
Dear Angel Kitchens,
Internet gambling and gaming sites are springing up very quickly. Be sure to thoroughly research any company before committing any resources, including time and money, to that gaming activity. Gamesville.com is part of the Lycos network. The official rules to three eyed bingo can be found here. I am not a lawyer, nor am I qualified to give any legal advice. I am just a Nerd. That being said, reading over the rules, it sounds like once you get Bingo, you need to be the first person to submit the winning game...meaning other people may also be getting bingo at the same time. Even though your card may have said Bingo, there may have been someone else ahead of you in the claim line. If you think you were wronged, I would advise you to contact the state's Attorney General's office or Department of Consumer affairs. They may be able to help out without you having to pay a lawyers expense. Good luck.
