The Preferred Links program allows you to purchase a top link on the Nerd World Internet Subject Index. Currently, submitting a free link to Submit Link requires a several week wait due to a large backlog of messages. Although this backlog is slowly being tackled, a Preferred Link allows you to have better control of where (and when) your link appears in the index. Unlike the free link, Preferred Links can be submitted to multiple categories.

How can I be sure my link will stand out?
We will not allow more than five Preferred Links per category. If you purchase a Preferred Link, you will be given first preference to continue at your location.

How much traffic will see my link?
We are currently working on statistics pages to help you decide the best place for exposure. Currently the index receives 50,000 views each day. This number should continue to increase at a very large rate. Nerd World also receives traffic from the Make Your Own Index and Assembly Personalized Bulletin Boards products.

Isn't this going to hurt the quality of the Nerd World Subject Index by selling the top parts of each subject page?
When a link is submitted, it must be approved that it fits in well with the category that is requested. We believe the quality of the index will improve in two ways:

  • We will be able to react faster to requests for links.
  • The top links are reliable since someone is investing money to ensure people come to their site.

    What does the Preferred Link cost ?

  • For a single link submitted to a single category : $180 per year
  • Each additional submitted link : $150
  • Each additional category that a link is submitted to : $150 per year

    How do I pay?
    When you fill out the following form, your link must be approved to ensure that the content of your page is related to the category you are requesting. When your submitted link is approved, you will be sent an invoice via email. You will need to mail the invoice with a check to Nerd World. Your link will be displayed when your check is received.
